Great Food! Great Service. Locally owned and operated. If you are looking for one of the best kept secrets in Colorado... This little Italian Deli and Bakery is the place for you. The owners are delightful. You will feel like you're at a good friends house and their serving you up some great grub. And when you leave you find yourself saying... "Mama Mia that was good!"

My family went to go eat at Pachelli's for lunch but their menu had mostly just deli items and lasagna for menu items. We came to eat Italian but was disappointed by the lack of choices so we decided to leave and go elsewhere. The owner proceeded to follow us out and yell at us for using his bathroom and not buying anything. We told him that there were too little Italian items on his menu and our kids would not eat from his menu. He made us feel uncomfortable and fear for our safety. Do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant.

This place is run by a couple (husband is the cook and wife takes orders). I had the salami, swiss, and pepperoni sandwich and it was AMAZE-BALLS!! The large is about two 1 ft. long subway sandwiches side by side. It was very delicious! I would definitely return here if given the chance and recommend it to anyone passing through Monte Vista. Only downside is again-there's only one cook so it gets busy during lunch, my wait was around 20 min. Also, they are only open M-F 11-3.

We were passing through this small town, looking for a quick bite. I logged into yelp and read the other 2 reviews, so we decided to give it a try. Great call! The food was delicious! We got a large cheesesteak, which was served on fresh baked bread and large enough for the three of us to share. Seriously abondanza! We also had a side salad with baby greens, feta cheese and a wonderful balsamic dressing. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked great. We were full and happy and hitting the road once more :)

Good food. No ventilation for the grill so you will leave smelling like a cheese steak. Proprietor will not leave you alone so definitely not a quiet place for lunch but still worth visiting.
